Road bike route description
Let's go for another impressive climb in the Region of Malaga!! 16km uphill with 1 short descent, in general from 0 m.a.s.l. up to any 900 m.a.s.l. The strongest part comes between km 11 and km 13 where you will get 10% and 15%... not bad!!!
Ride from the heart of Malaga along the coast till a quarter El Palo. At the end of the street Av. Salvador Allende turn left and after about 1km follow the signs for Olias through the A-701. You are at the beginning of the hill. A steady climb with the sea views are lovely. Having cycled 8 km you arrive in Olias and continue for Colmenar / Comares taking the road MA-3111. There might be some people who may suffer but the views over the huge massif of the peak Santopitar will make them stronger. After 4km you turn left for Colmenar / Puerto del Leon through the MA-166.
On the next crossroad, turn left to get to Malaga. Going downhill 16km with super-surface, wide enough and having the views over Malaga city is amazing. Everybody might enjoy it!!!
